ROOM SCAMS- PIRATES/POACHING NOTICE:
There are companies obtaining registration lists from public sources-do not respond to these solicitations concerning room reservations. In order to secure a room at the Hilton Miami Downtown you must book through the proper official channel as provided—Through the housing link or calling Hilton direct. Both can be found on this website under Hotel Information or Hotel Reservations.
Housing block “pirates” now routinely “poach” event attendees and exhibitors!
The pirating companies gather group’s contact information from published or online directories. They call attendees leaving the impression that they are “official” housing. They will also frequently cite an imminent sell-out of the block while urging you to secure housing immediately. Another tactic is to offer a room rate that is significantly less than the official rate. Offered rooms may be at the Hilton Miami Downtown or at other properties. Please do not respond to these solicitations.

CPE at Media Finance Focus 2014 All sessions are presented in group-live instructional/delivery method. In accordance with the standards of the National Registry of CPE sponsors, CPE credits have been granted based on a 50-minute hour. CPE sheets are included in all attendee registration envelops/materials and stickers are available at each session offering CPE. All CPE sheet should be submitted to MFM staff at the conclusion of the conference. CPAs will be mailed a CPE Certificate from MFM following the conference. CPAs could potentially earn up to TBA units at the 2014 conference. For questions regarding CPE, please call Debi Borden at 847.716.7000.
Media Financial Management Association (MFM) is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.learningmarket.org.

Business casual attire is appropriate for all conference activities. We recommend that you dress in layers and bring a sweater or jacket to the sessions in case the room temperature is not comfortable for you.
Please remember to wear your badge when attending Media Finance Focus 2014 functions. This allows you access to conference sessions, social events and the Exhibit Hall. Your badge is proof of registration; without it, you will not be allowed to participate in any conference activities.
Should you need assistance during the conference, please stop by the Registration Desk or look for MFM/BCCA staff. In cases of a medical emergency, you may also dial “0” on any house phone.
MFM/BCCA takes photographs during its meetings and events for use in Association advertising, newsletters, website and other promotional materials, whether in print, electronic or other media, including the MFM and/or BCCA websites. By participating in this conference you grant MFM and BCCA the right to use your name and photograph for such purposes.
For your convenience, a lost and found box is kept at the Registration Desk, where you can bring found items or report lost items. MFM is not responsible for lost personal property.
For the comfort and health of all attendees, smoking is not permitted at any MFM/BCCA function. The Hotel is a non-smoking facility.
Responsible Drinking Policy
Recognizing the emphasis on networking through receptions and social events and the potential for alcohol abuse, MFM and BCCA encourages attendees to drink responsibly. Supporting this policy, MFM/BCCA offers nonalcoholic beverages at all functions where alcohol is served. Alcohol will not be served to anyone under the age of 21.
Cell Phone and Pager Policy
As a courtesy to speakers and other attendees, please refrain from the use of PDAs or cell phones during presentations. We ask that you kindly turn off your phone/PDA or set it to vibrate and leave the session if you receive a call.
MFM/BCCA selects lunch menus we hope everyone will enjoy. We realize that some individuals have dietary restrictions and food allergies. Send a note to email@example.com with specific instructions.
Attendees who notified us about food allergies or dietary restrictions that prevent them from eating the standard entrée selection are provided with a vegetarian/vegan meal based as closely as possible on their specific dietary needs.
MFM/BCCA will do its best to accommodate all dietary requests; however because the focus is on food allergies, we cannot always guarantee requests such as low-fat, low-salt, low-carb, sugar-free, etc. Alternate desserts also may not be available.
MFM/BCCA strives to hold meetings that are accessible to all. Please tell us what you require to help make your participation more enjoyable and meaningful. If you require special assistance, auxiliary aids or other reasonable accommodations to fully participate in this event, please let us know.
